What is good about the Hauck Dream n Play Travel Cot?

The Hauck Dream ‘n’ Play travel cot is great for people who are on a tight budget or who don’t intend to use the baby travel cot that often, and therefore don’t want to spend too much money on it. Its retail price is £49.99, but larger retailers such as Amazon sell it for considerably cheaper (they are currently selling it for £31.99).

Like many traditional baby travel cots, it doubles as a playpen for those moments when you need somewhere safe for your baby to play while you attend to other things. The Hauck travel cot has two mesh sides to allow the baby or toddler to see out and you to keep a close eye on their games.

This product is straightforward to put up if you follow the instructions carefully, but it might take a little practise before you find it easy to put up and down without the instruction manual. When it is not in use it folds away very easily and neatly, (it has an umbrella style folding mechanism). There are visual guides for how to put up the cot printed on the product itself, in case you mislay the instructions.

Safety is, of course, an important consideration. The sides and ends of the cot lock firmly into place, forming a sturdy base for the mattress. The robust construction will give parents and carers peace of mind that their baby can sleep safely.

Are there any negatives?

The only real downside to this particular model is that it does not come with a mattress included. However, buying a travel cot mattress is not expensive and the Hauck travel cot still works out as very cost effective, even with the necessity of this additional purchase.

A minority of customers have commented that putting up this travel cot is a little tricky, even with the instructions as a guide. However, this is a subjective matter and most customers put it up with little problem and find it comparable to other models and brands of baby travel cot.
